Victorian Lace Eggs; hand carved eggs by Beth Ann Magnuson
Craft cutter Beth Ann Magnuson creates patterns on eggs that are reminiscent of Victorian lace. You can view the artist working on an eggshell at YouTube. The artist says, "After a dozen years of flower farming, I moved to the tiny rural community of Bishop Hill, Illinois. With its scant population bounded by miles of cornfields in every direction, I find it’s the perfect setting to quietly create beautiful things from the bounty of nature. My gardens and the surrounding verdant fields supply me with material and inspiration for my artwork. I gather eggs from neighboring farms and carve the shells into delicate ornaments I describe as Victorian Lace Eggs. I employ special tools and techniques to marble and etch eggshells."

Paper tree art. The tree's trunk and branches, folded over, become the roots.
I love this but the roots start to look a little like tentacles. All in all, cool. I love cut paper art.
ooh, cool #tree #art
This idea could be used for family tree.
Tree art- easy and cool idea to cut out with an Xcto and use the cutout as the roots. Gonna do this soon and do other "nature" cutouts to go with.

Dirty White Trash (with Gulls) 1998 - By optical illusion and shadow artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster
Amazing Silhouette Art Made Out of Trash - Tim Noble and Sue Webster take ordinary things including rubbish, and use it to create art. Usually they focus on creating projection images of self portraits. This particular pile of garbage took 6 months for them to collect, if you look at the shadow in the background it creates is two people sitting back to back drinking and smoking.
"Dirty white trash", garbage shadow art by Tim Noble and Sue Webster Really cool :)
Tim Noble and Sue Webster, a London-based artist duo. They create amazing shadow art installations using carefully arranged objects, from trash to metal cans shot with BB pellets, arranged to cast shadows of people and skylines on the wall when a light is shined from a certain direction. Unbelievable game of shadows.

Junkart - Tim Noble and Sue Webster – Tim Noble and Sue Webster are the dynamic duo from England that creates seemingly useless art installations that surprisingly come to life when directional lighting is used. Moreover, the use of scraps, taxidermy creatures and discarded waste, adds to the impressive transformation of the art pieces from pieces of garbage to creative and fancy projected images.

Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall, England
Natural sculpture - Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall
Garden Sculpture writ (hewn?) large. This sleeping beauty is situated in the Lost Gardens of Heligan at Mevagissey in Cornwall. I'd love something like this, but it's having the space to do it justice. Heligan, if you were wondering, is from the Cornish 'helygen' meaning willow tree and the Gardens ought to be pronounced huh-ligg-un not helly-gun like wot I've always dun :D
The Lost Gardens of Heligan Heligan, seat of the Tremayne family for more than 400 years, is one of the most mysterious estates in England. At the end of the nineteenth century its thousand acres were at their zenith, but only a few years later bramble and ivy were already drawing a green veil over this "Sleeping Beauty". After decades of neglect, the devastating hurricane of 1990 should have consigned the Lost Gardens of Heligan to a footnote in history.
The Mudmaid at Lost Gardens of Heligan. The fascinating thing is how she morphs from season to season. Beautiful and creepy.
