Knot Tying Practice Sticks - 30 Minute Crafts
One of the coolest skills I learned while in Girl Scouts was lashing. With some sticks and rope, I can lash together just about anything! And that…
A few years ago, I took over leading my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. We had 4 girls and $5. Being the thrifty gal I am, I managed to get very creative until fundraising time that fall. We had toilet paper tube crafts, our first camp out was in my backyard, etc. Now, we are in …
Girl Scout Awards Flower Pot... I painted a terra cotta pot blue for each Daisy and wrote their names on them. I spray painted Popsicle sticks green for the "stem" and glued a patch on each stick. I even put craft moss on top (I had this in my craft stuff) and stuck in the patches. After they empty the pots, they can use them for hair ties, toys or whatever they like!

Girl Scout Gab
Recently a leader posted a photo of a hand-made shadow box she made for one of her "retiring" ambassadors. It is so beautiful and a true gift! The inspirational words are sure to remind this girl scout of her scouting days. The hand-made nature of the gift makes it even more special.
Here's a cool way to give your Girl Scouts the patches they earned. We decorated plastic cups with their names cut out of vinyl using Cricut Divine Wedding Font. We attached the patches and pins to colorful straws.
I made these to present the girls with their patches and awards at the end of the school year...buckets from Michael's, styrofoam block to insert sticks in, paper "grass"...I used premade glue dots to attach the patches and pins to pre-colored popsicle sticks, then stuck them in the styrofoam and covered it with the paper grass. Much more cute and fun than a baggie full of patches! The girls loved them!
