The World According to Garp. Currently my FAVORITE book. Never read anything like it.
The World According to Garp - Google Search
Strangely enough, this book doubles as the best Christmas present I have ever given (for long-winded sentimental reasons). And that was before I had ever read the book.
Anything by John Irving is a book worth reading.

The Dark Tower series, Stephen King (love all Stephen King books!)
I love the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King. My favorites series hands down.
When I was younger Stephen King was my favorite author. I knew nothing about the Dark Tower Series until I was 30. I read the first book and was hooked, it has been my favorite book series of all time.
My favorite Stephen King book. I read it at least once every year.
One of the few books worth reading again and again.
Probably my FAVORITE book of his. The Stand by Stephen King

Book Club, Worth Reading, Goon Squad, Book Worth, Jennifer Egan, Pulitzer Prizes, Shorts Stories, Visit, Reading Lists
A Visit from The Goon Squad, Jennifer Egan Not only did this book win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction this year, but it’s also been lapped up by the critics. The book is broken up into a series of short stories, many of which involve the character Bennie Salazar. Bennie is an aging rock executive who is getting more self-destructive as he gets older. The stories shift back and forth in time, vaulting from the late Sixities to the present day.
On my reading list! A Visit From The Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. Bennie is an aging former punk rocker and record executive. Sasha is the passionate, troubled young woman he employs. Here Jennifer Egan brilliantly reveals their pasts, along with the inner lives of a host of other characters whose paths intersect with theirs. With music pulsing on every page, A Visit from the Goon Squad is a startling, exhilarating novel of self-destruction and redemption.
A video book review of A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. One of the top picks from In the Stacks librarians for your book club to read and the Pulitzer Prize winner for fiction in 2011.
loved this story. definitely the kind of book worth reading a few times to fully grasp the time and setting changes and how each character's stories become woven together.

This Is Where I Leave You, GOOD BOOK!
Who would've thought that a novel about a very dysfunctional family set at a funeral could be full of such bawdy humor and genuine warmth? October 2014 book club choice.
On My To Read List
addicted to this series...already impatient for the next release.
