This is The Long Room at Trinity College Library of Dublin, Ireland. It is the largest library in Ireland, and was established by Elizabeth I in 1592. It holds all the copyrighted books published in Ireland. The Long Room is home to the Book of Kells, the beautifully illustrated Latin manuscript of the four Gospels of the New Testament. Created around 800A.D., it is an "illuminated" manuscript, which refers to the brilliant colors used to artistically illustrate each page. The glowing colors were achieved using a variety of pigments, from crushed oak apples to lapis lazuli to beetle's wings. This beautiful work of art has been in the possession of Trinity College since 1661. The Long Room is known as "the cathedral of the Book."

I will make this for my backyard one day. I will have it read things that mean something to me and my family, or perhaps places we visit often.
Fantastic garden sign that directs you to places in famous children's book. Lovely idea, especially if you have children that love to read.

One of the best mothers that I know (other than mine) told her children something similar. It made such a huge impact on me that I still vividly remember her and her daughter 12 years later.
Far too many parents are more worried about pleasing their children instead of disciplining and enforcing strong rules and morals! Be a parent first, your child will have plenty of friends... So true!
My son and daughter both have children of their own. Someday they will understand why I was this way.
Good quote for your children!

book art - David Kracov created this award called the"Book Of Life" given in honor of Rabbi Yossi Raichik, the beloved director of Chabad's Children of Chernobyl. The all metal sculpture ...is very meaningful: The sculpture depicts the "Book Of Life", each page filled with words from those he touched, with those pages and thoughts transforming into butterflies, each representing the 2.547 children he helped save and give new lives.
