Several years ago I was working on creating wool felt penny rug pictures for my "It's Raining Baby Showers" baby shower decorations line and thought that little baby heads coming out of pumpkins or wearing pumpkin tops as hats would be cute. They'd all be hiding in the pumpkin patch waiting to be found. So, my "Babies In The Pumpkin Patch" design was born.....

I just love the Fall and all the vivid colors. And, I love pumpkins, scarecrows, Fall leaves, and apple orchards. So, of course, when designing some of my new Fall dolls I had to create some colorful and adorable pumpkins and thought you might like to know how I made them. Supplies Needed…..

One of my most favorite times of the year is the Fall. It invigorates me and gets my creative juices flowing for all sorts of home decor projects. Given that I've been doing this for decades now you can imagine I already have so many decorations for my home that I couldn't possible need any more. Au contraire! There's always room for new decorations - especially for the Fall. At least that's what I keep telling hubby....

I don't know about other designers, but I tend to get very attached to my creations - even the patterns. I suspect other designers do get attached to their creations, too. It doesn't have to be something that took me forever to create and make. For me it can be something as simple as a pumpkin. Sometimes the simpler - the better!....

I am a big fan of tote bags. The more the merrier. I use than for all sorts of reasons as I'm sure you all do too. For the most part they work out great, but once in awhile, they're just not big enough. As a result, I'm always on the look out for larger ones. I'm sure all of you have your fabric stash piles like I do. For years now I've been looking at two lightweight cotton twill fabrics in a pile on top of my sewing basket. They're there to remind me to do something with them.....

You never know what is going to happen over at the "Sneaks Family" house. The boys could be playing baseball or just plain horsing around. So, it wouldn't be surprising if you saw pillows flying through the air. When the boys get to rough housing anything is fair game - even the pillows. The "Sneaks" love their custom fabric pillows and thought you might like to make some of your own. So, they designed a free e-pattern to show you how.

Halloween is definitely one of my all time favorite holidays and I just love decorating my house for the Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving holiday season. As a crafter I have all sorts of decorations I use from cloth decorations to silk floral designs to woodcrafts. Everything is fair game during this holiday season. "Help, I'm Sliding!" loves a good snowball fight and couldn't say "no" when his friend, "Give Me More Snow!" asked him to participate. So he eagerly agreed and has been helping to stockpile the snowballs all week. He, too, noticed that someone was stealing their snowballs and doesn't like that one bit. But, who is it? They have to find out and find out quickly before all their snowballs are gone.....

In December 2013 I wrote a blog post about a visit to my sister's Rock Garden Alpacas Farm. During this visit my sister made sure to include a day for shopping. Instead of going to the wonderful fabric store we had visited in 2012 when I visited this time we were going to a local craft store......

As far as I'm concerned it's never too early for making bunnies - especially when they're all easy to do and totally adorable. As you all know from my previous posts I spent the last two months blissfully creating mixed media Christmas crafts. I was in crafting heaven. So, in thinking about some of the bottle crafts I wanted to make now I decided I would make some Christmas mixed media bottles that could function as vases with embellished paper flowers....

As you know, I have been having a delightful time experimenting with glass vases and bottles for the past few months. Some of the bottles I decided to embellish were small 4" - 6" clear bottles from my crafts stash. The four bottles shown in the collage picture above will either remain as mixed media embellished bottles or end up with embellished paper flowers in them. I haven't decided as of yet....

You've met "Scare Me Happy!" and "Scare Me Melancholy!" - now we'd like you to meet "Scare Me Dazed!" He's the middle brother and is always - well, kind of dazed! He is definitely in a fog most of the time.! When "Scare Me Dazed!" was born he was awoken out of a peaceful sound sleep and has never been able to recover. He was startled awake. It's no wonder he's never recovered! His brothers know better than to ever ask "Scare Me Dazed!" to do anything for them....

"Marsh Me Snow" just loves snowballs and loves a good snowball fight. In fact, he brags about being quite good at a snowball fight. So, what do you think? Do you want to have an old fashioned snowball fight with "Marsh Me Snow!" "Marsh Me Snow!" is a 9" primitive flannel cloth snowman.....

It's no secret that I hate snow, but love creating snowmen. Go figure! As a result I've made quite a few snowman of all different shapes and sizes. Some require a lot of work and some are quick and easy. I love working with popsicle sticks as they are easy to paint and can be made into just about any seasonal or holiday ornament decoration you might want - like a snowman. So, I decided one weekend to make a few. I'm happy to report that they were very easy to make....
