"Snow Me Red, White, and Blue!" wants to show everyone how patriotic he is and is going to do so by wearing his favorite red, white, and blue outfit when he marches in the "Winter Carnival" parade. He doesn't care if they're the colors of summer and that it's winter time. He wants to wear them in the parade.....

"Uncle Warren" truly is a true red, white, and blue patriot. He loves his country and, even now, at the age of 82 is still willing to serve his country. If they need him to serve, he'll be ready. Of course, at his age he can't fight, but he can still serve.....

It's the start of the summer season in the U.S. and for crafters thoughts turn to the 4th of July, patriotic, and americana home decorations. After making all my penny rug wool felt Victorian dress ornaments and my "Circle Me In Dresses" I turned my attention to using the wool felt to create alpaca mini quilts and standard penny rug table-mat or candle mat. This time I wanted to place some of my wool felt standing alpaca designs and grazing alpaca designs within the penny rug and, like my "Circle Me In Dresses" picture I decided not to use this as a table-mat or candle mat but, instead, as a framed picture....

Doll Histories

Back in 2008 I received a request from a customer asking if I would consider making a special order item for them. Now, I don't normally do special orders, but my customer wanted a graduation doll and both of my were sold out. I told my customer that they could make.....

Recently I got to thinking about some of the cloth stump doll e-patterns I designed and thought you might like to make some stump dolls of your own. So, I decided to make their e-patterns free and created blog posts on how to make them as well as a link to their free e-patterns. If you don't know what stump dolls are they are dolls made of anything (i.e. wood, cloth, etc.) that are basically a body and head.....

Not only is "Raggedy Ann" one of most popular dolls for decades for little girls and grown-ups girls and has been since she was introduced to the world by Johnny Gruelle in 1918 but so is Raggedy Andy, which was introduced to the world by Johnny Gruelle in 1920. After all, why should only the little girls have all the fun! So, given how much I love history and old books I decided to see if there was a copy of some of the old "Raggedy Andy" books out there on Project Gutenberg....

As you know there is just something about the Fall decorating season that just inspires me to craft. For sure it definitely gets my muse in overdrive. Every year around this time I can start to feel it. This urge to create that starts to show itself, again.

I've made a large yarn picture, needle felted pictures, silk floral and ribbon pictures, pressed flower pictures, wool felt pictures, needle craft pictures, punch needle embroidery pictures, stenciled shadow box pictures, and quilted pictures.....

As you know there is just something about the Fall decorating season that just inspires me to craft. For sure it definitely gets my muse in overdrive. Every year around this time I can start to feel it. This urge to create that starts to show itself, again.

I tend to have a lot of supplies in my crafts stash as I suspect most crafters do and whenever I'm given something or find something that could be re-purposed for a craft later on I tend to save it. Such was the case with the heavy, clear glass square container that I sponge painted, the Christmas Santa and reindeer floral picks, and large pine-cones I had from my pine-cone adventures year ago.....

In December 2013 I wrote a blog post about a visit to my sister's Rock Garden Alpacas Farm. During this visit my sister made sure to include a day for shopping. Instead of going to the wonderful fabric store we had visited in 2012 when I visited this time we were going to a local craft store......
