1tsp epsom salt in 4 c warm water....spray on plant and then 10 days later.  produces more fruit due to boost of magnesium... especially for tomatoes, peppers and roses

Speaking of the Garden...

spray the plant with epsom salts 1 teaspoon dissolved in a spray bottle of warm water (about 4 cups). that gives the pepper plant a boost of magnesium that is required at flowering time to produce fruit. spray them again 10 days later.

Cucumbers are sweeter when you plant them with sunflowers ~~ Don't plant them with watermelons! It ruins the taste of the melons.  Lots of other gardening tips on this blog. >> Craziness! I had no idea! Must check these tips out.

Growing Cucumbers

Some tips for growing cucumbers. Remember cucumbers are heavy feeders so be sure to feed them often. I use a weak solution of miracle grow or the generic/store brand weekly. Cucumbers need lots of rich soil, lots of manure and heat and water.

Lowes sells the 4 to 6" round PVC pipe with holes already drilled.  Purchase an end cap, fill with rock, soil, and plant.  I will often put these in the center of a very large pot to stabilize, and add amazing height and color to a container that has trailing plants (no end cap or rock needed if you are placing in a container) LOVE THIS!!

Container

For gorgeous containers, use the Thriller/Spiller/Filler method. Choose a taller plant as your thriller, a filler to add around the base and a trailing plant to spill or cascade down the sides. More container garden tips @ themicrogardener.
