Homemade Ice cream! Fun to make with the kids. 2 TBS sugar 1C. half & half (or light cream) 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup coarse salt or table salt ice gallon-sized Ziploc bag pint-sized Ziploc bag Mix the sugar, half & half and vanilla together. Pour into a pint-sized Ziploc bag; seal tightly. Fill gallon-sized Ziploc halfway with ice and pour the salt over the ice. Place cream filled bag into the ice filled bag and seal tightly. Shake the bag 5-8 min, check if to see if hard, remove & enjoy!
Fun to make with your kids or students (or both!) : ) Home Made Ice Cream in a Bag. 1/2C milk 1Tbps sugar, 1Tsp vanilla extract, 1 small Ziplock Bag, 1 large Ziplock Bag (gallon size) Ice (crushed) 1/2C salt. Combine ice cream ingredients, place them in the small Ziplock bag, seal. Fill large Ziplock bag 1/2 full of ice, add salt. Place small bag w ice cream ingredients inside large bag. Shake 5min til ice cream is firm.

Seal the bag. Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it. Place the small bag inside the large one, and seal it again carefully. Shake until the mixture is ice cream, which takes about 5 minutes. Wipe off the top of the small bag, then open it carefully. Enjoy! Tips:A 1/2 cup milk will make about 1 scoop of ice cream, so double the recipe if you want more. But don't increase the proportions more that that -- a large amount might be too big for kids to pick-up because the ice itself is heavy
