Reading Comprehension - practicing questioning

Adventures of First Grade: Reading Comprehension

Making predictions in a story is such an important element of imagination and comprehension for a student. I have seen this in my internship where students will give ideas in a large group reading what they will believe will happen in the story. I have also implemented more predictions in literacy by doing a picture walk with the students.

Asking Questions Chart! I love this brightly colored anchor chart. Great idea to have a board already made. You could put it in the library center with sticky notes and have students do the activity on their own after you have done it as a class.
