Wellsboro Pennsylvania is Mansfield's next door neighbor. Wellsboro has long been a locus of regional energy -- from festivals, concerts, theater and the arts to the hustle and bustle of its historic downtown, complete with charming gas-lit lampposts. Incorporated as a borough in 1830, Wellsboro is also home to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, one of the region's top vacation destinations, offering breathtaking views and numerous outdoor activities, from hiking and biking to hunting and fishing.

A new organization for veterans and military personnel has been formed at Mansfield University. The Mansfield Military and Veteran’s Organization is open to all students, faculty and staff who have served or are serving in the military. The organization will hold regular meetings and has a Facebook group page that allows for the exchange of information and ideas. Joshua Battin, assistant professor of CJ, and Dusty Zeyn, of Residence Life, both veterans themselves, are serving as advisors.

Did you know that Tioga County PA has an Airport? Just a few miles from Mansfield University you'll find it.

Mansfield University is located along one of America’s most scenic byways. Route 6 runs for 400 miles along the northern part of Pennsylvania before heading into Ohio and New York. Tioga County’s stretch also passes by the PA Grand Canyon, through the county seat of Wellsboro, and provides easy access to Pine Creek and the Pine Creek Rail Trail.

Head to Wellsboro and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon where you will step back in time with a covered wagon ride from Ole Covered Wagon Tours. This tour takes visitors to various sites along the Pine Creek Rail Trail, such as Little Four Mile Run Waterfalls at the bottom of the Turkey Path.
