Went to Library School in the early 1990's and graduated just as the first web browser with color pictures came out. My employer closed my one-person-medical-library in 2010, but I still retain a love of classification, books, research and ephemera.

Janice Jackson, Evelyn Pierce, and Ethel Sawyer, along with six other women are under arrest for the crime of reading in a "white only" library. The nine women sat quitely at different tables reading books that were not available in the "colored" library. When they refused to leave, they were arrested for "disturbing the peace" and became known as the Tougaloo Nine, so named because they all attended Tougaloo college in Mississippi, 1961.
