Quilts make my heart happy. Quilt patterns are akin to the modular units of mosaics, and quilters love scraps, fragments and pieces as much as mosaicists. Textiles and fiber arts have abstract power, color and texture dynamism and some of the most innovative designs around. And awesome women.
