Wave Rock is a natural rock formation located east of the small town of Hyden in Western Australia. The 'wave' formation was formed 60 million years ago and the shape of the rock is not caused by a wave phenomenon, rather its rounded wave-like shape was formed by subsurface chemical weathering followed by removal of the soft weathered granite by fluvial erosion, thus the weathering occurred below ground level before it was exposed.

Agate - This is a huge species of mineral types. It was first discovered in Italy. Most agates occur in volcanic rock or ancient lava formations. When cut, these agates form a succession of parallel lines, giving a banded, riband and striped appearance.

Mount Elgon August 9, 1984 Description: Clouds encircle the lofty rim of Africa's Mount Elgon, a huge, long-extinct volcano on the border between Uganda and Kenya. The solitary volcano has one of the world's largest intact calderas, a cauldron-like central depression. The caldera is about 6.5 kilometers (4 miles) across and formed following an eruption, when the emptied magma chamber collapsed under the weight of volcanic rock above it.

Richat Structure, Mauritania, 2001The 31-mile-wide bull's-eye in the western Sahara is a landmark for astronauts. The structure formed when a volcanic dome hardened and gradually eroded, exposing the onion-like layers of rock. Desert sands appear white and pale yellow at the corners; less sandy, rocky areas are green; and volcanic rocks are blue.

Known as Waiahuakua, this is the second longest sea cave in the world, stretching 1,155ft. It is known as the Sacred Water Cave and as the Double Door cave – as it has both an entrance and an exit. Kayak tours run through the cave to allow visitors a close-up view of the caverns huge length. A fissure in the roof of the volcanic rock allows water to gush into the amazing cavern.
