This is a brilliant organizational idea...and might just encourage students to turn things in on time.

Coordinate Grid Hangman played just like hangman only instead of giving the actual letter, students have to give the ordered pair of the point the letter is on in the graph. Idea: Give students a category they have to choose a word from such as restaurants, animals, cities, etc.

A former teacher said most of these ideas are things they either appreciated or would have appreciated. But, she also didn't mind some of the items on the "don't give" list.

Classroom: My whiteboard organization! I used black electric tape to grid my white board. I printed signs for Monday-Friday, weekly agenda, bellwork, today and objective on my computer, glued it to black paper and laminated them! Then taped them up! This helps to keep me and my students organized! :)

i is a number: Angles Formed by Parallel Lines Cut by a Transversal Foldable for Geometry or Middle School Math

Quadrilateral Foldable This thing is SWEET!!!!

Area of Trapezoid - "We started with a trapezoid cut out that I provided to all my students.  I told them that triangles and trapezoids were related.  Using one line, can you figure out how and draw it?  Gotta admit... it stumped some them... And on a side note.... didn't I learn all this in 10th grade Geometry???? When did 10th grade become 6th grade math!??!?!" (Why, yes, yes you did. When? When legislators started deciding what we needed to teach at what age.)

So, these are our foldables from this week - we made a triangular prism and a tetrahedron for our journals.  We wrote some of the attributes for each shape inside the nets (# of faces, # of edges, # of vertices, sketch, and surface area and volume).  As we did last week, we only glued one of the faces down so the net could still be folded into its 3D shape.
