Cliffs of Moher, Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher are located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare, Ireland. They rise 390 ft above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, and reach their maximum height of 702 ft just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres to the north. The cliffs receive almost one million visitors a year.

A puffin flies past the lighthouse on tiny Machias Seal Island located 12 miles from both Cutler, Maine and Canada's Grand Manan Island. Both countries have claimed sovereignty over the island. A lighthouse has stood guard here since 1832.
