A boat deposited on the inland side of Highway 90 by Hurricane Camille in August of 1969 serves as Gulfport's memorial to that hurricane. The damage and rust were caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

CREAM CHEESE SAUSAGE BALLS 1 lb hot sausage, uncooked 8 oz cream cheese, softened 1 1/4 cups Bisquick 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded Preheat oven to 400F. Mix all ingredients until well combined. (I use my KitchenAid mixer with the dough hook attachment) Roll into 1-inch balls. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until brown. Sausage balls may be frozen uncooked. If baking frozen, add a few minutes to the baking time.

Salt Dough Handprint Ornaments: 4 cups flour, 1 cup salt, 1.5 cups water. Stir until dough forms, knead 5-10 min. Should be sticky but not too dry. Roll to 1/4" thickness. Make handprint; use cookie cutter or cup/bowl to create edge. Poke hole in top. Place on parchment-lined baking pan. Bake @ 350 for 20 min. Cool for 20 min. Should feel firm, if not bake another 5-10 min. Decorate.
