I LOVE this!! She has the #firstday hashtag up for, obviously, the first of the school year. She's going to take a picture of each student and put their it on the board. Then she'll change the hashtag and pictures throughout they year. SO cute!!

My no-sew easy to move "safety-curtain" for my classroom door. It is a dowel rod and command hooks spray painted with oil rubbed bronze and drawer pulls hot glued to the ends. A no-sew curtain long enough to cover the door and then some is draped over the rod so the pattern shows from the outside too. Then I rolled up the material and then used Velcro to attach the ribbons. Now I can quickly cover my classroom door window if needed.

Here's an easy way for students to practice their spelling words. Have them draw a big scribble on their page - remind them to leave big spaces in their scribble! Using coloured pencils, they can then fill the spaces with their words.

Clip chart. "Here's the form I sent home each day. This form was in each student's folder. The circle is to be filled with whatever color the student ends the day on. You need 7 colors & maybe a pen to write an explanation for 'parent contact' students. So easy. I made a ton of copies of this at the beginning of the year & replaced it at the beginning of each month. It's very visual & I even let the kids color in their circles the last quarter of the year (with supervision).... they loved it."
