I saw this back on the PostSecret app (before it shut down, obviously) and took a screenshot of it on my phone because I loved it so much. I'm so, so happy to be able to find it elsewhere online. This man and his courage make me smile and give me hope.
Justin Bieber "Marries" 6-Year-Old-Fan Battling Cancer: Wow. I never, ever thought that Justin Bieber would be in my Pinterest (freaking ever), but not only did this kid make me cry, he put the biggest smile on my face, ever. This actually gives me some hope for the teeny-bopper music scene.
A few months ago, a friend posted this on Twitter, and I remember it making me ecstatic. A 1980's ad that didn't box-in, label, and stereotype a child? What a mind blowing concept! This gave me a lot of hope, as LEGO has always been one of my favorite toy companies. But when I found this page....that shows this in comparison to modern LEGO commercials, it made me want to vomit. What in the hell is wrong with our society? WHY do we insist on doing this to our children?
Far more than an Ally, I'm Gay with a capital G (Pansexual & Genderqueer/Trans* if you need specifics). But this is amazing and I love it. <3 Thank you to every ally out there. We need you all more than ever and you are helping to make the world a better place. We wouldn't have gotten as far as we have so far without you. Thank you.
