Anouk's Faraday Dress. "In collaboration with ArcAttack we created a faraday dress — allowing me to engage the Tesla coils through the electricity while wearing this Faraday-cage-style design. The outfit caged me in from top to toe against the aggressive arcs of the Tesla coils that have been modified by ArcAttack to play musical notes (like the dramatic version of “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by William Jerome aka “Coda”) through modulating their spark output." - Anouk Wipprecht
I made this little gem for BANKS. I couldn't be more please that it is getting some use in London. I really should have added some means of collecting states, so we can really see how people are their using it. #publicart #iot The project was to create a form of audio street art. when the use plugs their headphones in they hear the latest unreleased track from Banks. This was built to latest a very long time on batteries and built to be very sturdy outdoors.
10 amps of lighting and lasers are coordinated in real-time to the music. this system was developed to share the craft of led sequencing and high current control with any musician. here you see a testing of it implemented in a backpack for a Brooke Candy dance number on her next tour. the designs are open and available.
