FASHION FEATURE: MAVERICKS LACES When a small group of friends gathered around a cool pint (no, not Fosters) in Melbourne last year, it must have been hard to predict how a trio of graphic designers could make such a unique splash in the fashion world. http://tuskjournal.com/fashion/2013/6/4/maverick-laces
Melbourne - a colourless, moody southern outpost? Puh-lease. Introducing Mavericks: a Victorian shoelace outfit delivering personality and some much-needed punch to their winter months ahead. The latest autumn/winter line is available now. Remember, the lace maketh the shoe. Featured in GQ MAGAZINE www.maverickslaces.com.au

Meet The Maker: Mavericks Laces We stock some pretty cool brands at Hunting for George, but every now and then we come across a brand that makes us do a little dance in our pants. The triple header team at Mavericks have proven to do just that. Ladies and gentlemen, we’d like to introduce to you Mavericks laces, our featured Meet the Maker this week. http://www.huntingforgeorge.com/blog/2013/06/18/meet-the-maker-mavericks-laces/
Mavericks out of Melbourne have launched their Autumn/Winter 2013 range. The laces can completely transform a pair of shoes and now even boot lengths are available. They’ve also released some more classic blacks and browns if you don’t want something so flashy. They’re made from 100% waxed cotton and come in two lengths 75cm and 120cm and are 3mm in diameter. http://manofmany.com/style/mavericks-autumnwinter-2013-collection/
With the weather cooling down significantly in Melbourne this month, I’m guessing I’m not the only person grappling with the annual winter shoe dilemma. Warmth vs. style – the age old conundrum! Today’s post won’t solve the problem entirely… but it does offer a fun, colourful lift for chilly winter feet! http://thedesignfiles.net/2013/05/mavericks-laces/
Are You a Retailer’s Wet Dream, too?
Last week I told you about the groovy team at Mavericks Laces in Melbourne. Well! Not only did the lovely Luke from Mavericks comment on the blog post and advise they are now shipping internationally; today my laces arrived. Given I only ordered them after I posted last week, I reckon that’s pretty smart service. Oh – here’s the new look brogues ‘in situ’. What do you think? http://thissydneylife.wordpress.com/2013/03/27/are-you-a-retailers-wet-dream-too/
