From our website: hi, Thank you for looking at the attached photos re our one and only monarch pupae! do you think I should get some tweezers and gently try to remove the skin? The caterpillar transformation took place about 4:30pm today. When I gently tried to push the skin away, it appears fully mobile but attached to the cremaster. Do I need to worry about this or just leave it alone? Photos of my latest group of caterpillars who are ready to pupate. They all climbed to the top of the mosquito net & it was difficult to photograph them, so apologies for the quality! The mosquito net over an obelisk has worked wonderfully for me. So far I have released 4 Yellow Admirals & there are 2 more close to hatching & still have some smaller caterpillars on the plants. The mosquito net over an obelisk has worked wonderfully for me. So far I have released 4 Yellow Admirals & there are 2 more close to hatching & still have some smaller caterpillars on the plants.
