Posted by Don’t Go Gentle actor Angela Lewis— I just did a show called Milk Like Sugar, in which Tonya Pinkins played my mom “Myrna”. At the end of the play, my character, “Annie”, gets pregnant. Now, in Don’t Go Gentle, my son “Rasheed” is being played by Tonya Pinkins’ real life son Maxx Brawer! I like to think of my character, “Tanya”, as “Annie” all grown up, with Myrna being Rashid’s grandmother! Unwind that in your brain!!!
