Making Clubfoot Braces Sustainable
How can a #clubfootbrace be sustainable? By being durable enough to help as many children as possible. Our customers want to support sustainability by donating braces that their child has outgrown, reducing impact on landfills and giving another child the chance for a pain-free future. So we make our #MitchellPonseti braces durable enough to last through several uses and distribute donated braces to Ponseti clubfoot clinics around the world. #clubfootjourney #clubfootmommas #clubfoot

Happy Father's Day!
Being a dad can be challenging, exciting, frustrating and exhilarating - and the most difficult thing a man will ever do. Dads teach their children the value of hard work, guide them past the roadblocks of life, and always stand ready to support them if they fall. Fathers can change tires or cook a mean steak or write symphonies or code or poetry. Dads can always leave his children laughing with a good (bad?) Dad joke. 😁 Happy Father's Day to the men who make it look easy.
If Dr. Seuss Gave Clubfoot Advice...
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your (special) shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You won't lag behind, because you'll have the speed. You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.
Kristi Yamaguchi, Mia Hamm, Troy Aikman, Charles Woodson and Damon Wayans were all born with clubfoot. But you'd never know it from their achievements. These champions are living proof that #clubfoot need not stand in the way of ANY child with Olympic dreams, or visions of a Super Bowl win. #clubfoottreatment #Ponseti_method
We Love Our Clubfoot Mothers
Mothers are the warriors in the clubfoot battle. They find the doctor, choose the treatment, select the brace - and wrestle a reluctant toddler into their special shoes. Mothers join the support groups, share their tips and tricks for managing clubfoot, and help make our job much, much easier. So Happy Mother's Day to all our clubfoot mothers, and Thank You for all you do!
El Salvador Clubfoot Program - What We Did In 2018
MD Orthopaedics donates over $1M each year to provide clubfoot treatment to children in need. Partnering with the On His Path foundation and the El Salvador Clubfoot Program, children and adults with clubfoot receive the treatment they need to walk normally, changing the path of their lives for the better. The treatment is provided at no charge, and the patients receive gently used and refurbished #MitchellPonseti braces that have been donated by our customers. #clubfoot #clubfootbraces
Helping Those on the Frontlines of the COVID-19 Battle
We want to thank the medical staff on the front lines of the #coronavirus battle who are fighting to save lives during this ongoing pandemic. We understand the risks taken every day by all these providers as they battle an unseen enemy, so we have converted a portion of our production facility to make face shields to help keep them safe from unwanted exposure. So far, we have provided over 3,000 shields to local hospitals, without interrupting our usual #Ponsetibrace operations. #masks
2,200 Braces, 70 Countries, One Global Pandemic
We are still here for you. Last week, in the midst of a global pandemic, we delivered #clubfootbraces to 2,200 children in over 70 countries. That is an astonishing milestone for us, but what really stands out is the dedication of the staff that made it happen. Our teams came to work every day to make sure orders shipped on time, despite many challenges. Extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. That’s the #MDOrthopaedics way.
Promoting Clubfoot Awareness Through a Storybook
@MDOrthopaedics and @MassonsHealthcare actively promote clubfoot awareness and education, so it was no surprise to see the Massons team host Lauren and Leroy Christie during their recent visit to the Melbourne, Australia office. Lauren is the author of the children’s book “Leroy’s Boots”, which she wrote about her son and other children with clubfoot. She wanted to show the world that little boys (and girls!) with clubfoot are no different from anyone else. www.leroysboots.com
