How to make Christmas more special: Each child gets 4 presents. 1. Something they want 2. Something they need 3. Something to wear 4. Something to read.....I think this would be great, and then take a christmas vacation instead of all of the things they really don't need!
My husband starts the bedtime routine as usual, while I prepare little bags of popcorn and hot chocolate drinks and place them in the car with Christmas music playing! When the kids climb into bed, they will find the ticket hidden under their covers! The kids are then instructed to grab their slippers and head for the car. Upon entrance to The Minivan Express, we hole punch the ticket. Next, we travel around the city looking at all the beautiful lights.
This is the BEST icing for sugar cookies. It hardens nicely so you can stack cookies but doesnt get hard like a rock, so you wont hurt your teeth. Its very tasty too and you can add different extracts to change the flavors.Great icing/glaze for all sorts of things.
Borax snowflakes - If you have Borax at home, you SO need to do this with the kids. Do it after dinner, and by breakfast the kids will be amazed at what has happened! We have 8 snowflakes hanging in our window just a-sparkling away!
