Afternoon dress, Bechoff-David & Co., Paris, ca. 1902. Silk satin-striped chiffon over pale green silk taffeta. Smith College Historic Clothing: “The black & white printed silk used for this dress is an avant-garde design derived from the work of Vienna Secessionist artists Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser. Bechoff-David was an important couture house in Paris around the turn of the century, appealing to a somewhat more progressive clientele than the older houses of Worth or Doucet.”

One red, plum and blue floral on figured cream ground (fade marks, missing ties), Together with a brown calico dress with 3/4 sleeve, back buttons and skirt ruffle, (two buttons replaced).

Wedding dress consisting of bodice, train and skirt of embroidered satin and velvet, designed by Charles Frederick Worth made in Paris, 1879-1880. Worn by Clara Mathews for her marriage at St George’s Hanover Square on 19th February 1880 to Colonel Hugh Stafford. She was the daughter of Isaac Merritt Singer, the sewing machine pioneer.

Wedding dress, probably Swedish, 1897. Ivory atlas with white silk taffeta over bust and satin ribbon at waist. Yellow & white orange blossom and lily of the valley in wax & fabric attached to shoulder, hem, & train. Train of ivory silk rep (possibly moiré) lined with off-white, very dense silk twill. Padded hem. from a Swedish museum whose name I've lost. :(
