Books From My Childhood

I was taught by my loving family to read at an extremely early age, so these books have been an important part of my life and have kept a place in my heart almost forever.

Sleeping Beauty (1959) Whitman Children’s Book. It probably cost a quarter, or MAYBE $0.50, as it was a Deluxe Edition. Aurora has that extremely popular 1950s Jon Whitcomb look in this unusual cover illustration. Whitcomb was well known for his pictures of glamorous young women, and produced many story illustrations and covers for magazines, including McCall’s.
