This is from Nora's IG - I realized that I really hadn't shared a finished picture of my kitchen after "Project Refresh". There's still a bit of holiday decor in there (love my garland lights from @shopterrain !), but it's my new favorite room :)
The island was a roadside find made of cast iron and wood. The reclaimed pumpkin pine (a wood named for the orange hue that develops after a century or more of oxidation) on the floors also trims the Carrera marble countertops.
This space is created by opening the space between the studs in the wall. Small, skinny spot, but look at all of the fabulous storage with small pantry items that take forever to find - a great idea to steal space and have a big impact.
