Maya Blue, figurine AD 600-900.  The pigment is both vibrant and unusually durable. It is made from indigo leaves, and the clay mineral palygorskite. What binded these ingredients into a durable pigment is thought to be the copal resin in the scared incense burned during sacrificial rituals where humans were painted with the pigment and thrown down a well.
