Ice Hotel - Quebec, Canada. The is the first ice hotel in North America. All furniture is made of ice. In addition to using ice glasses as in the Kiruna ice hotel, the bar (and room service) also serves cold cuts on ice plates. Amenities include a nightclub, movie theater, indoor heated washrooms and outdoor hot tubs.
The Johnston Canyon area is located between Banff and Lake Louise along the Trans Canada Highway . Approximately a 30 minute drive outside of Banff to the northwest , it is an extremely popular destination given its ease of access and gorgeous waterfalls. If you want to make this trip (and it's highly recommend you do) you will want to go early – even in the offseason.
