Franklin Delano Roosevelt at Harvard in 1903. Not only was the man handsome, he was bright, friendly, funny, and utterly unpretentious. He liked collecting stamps, and figurines of pigs, and he fed the King and Queen of England hot dogs at a backyard cookout.

John Smith, Oldest living Native American, age 131
Living Indian, 131 Years, Oldest Living, American Indian, Age 131, Oldest People, A Years Ago, Native American, John Smith
John Smith, Cass Lake, Minn., Feb. 6 – Ga-Be-Nah-Gewn-Wonce, also known as John Smith, a Chippewa Indian reputed to be 137 years old, died here today after a week’s illness with pneumonia. (Photo courtesy mnhs.org) Smith, whose Indian name means “Wrinkled meat,” had been very active in late years. A year ago he became totally blind, but his mind remained clear to the last, and he often recalled the days when he was a scout for the Chippewas in the wars with the Sioux.
"John Smith". Oldest living Indian, 131 years old. As a Native American, I think it's disgraceful that this poor Native man had to die being called a Caucasian name like "John Smith". Obviously, at 131 years old he would have been born with a Native American Indian name - but those names were stripped from the Native people when they were forcibly thrown in boarding schools, prison camps, and Reservations by the Whites - a disgraceful part of U.S. history.(JOHN SMITH) 9 LETTERS

Albert Einstein is probably one of the most popular figures of all times. He is considered a genius because he created the Theory of Relativity, and so, challenged Newton’s laws, that were the basis of everything known in physics until the beginning of the 20th century. But, as a person, he was considered a beatnik, and this picture, taken on March 14, 1951 proves that.

This photo is entitled "Albert Einstein " and was taken by Arthur Sasse. I am really interested in this photo because Sasse captures one of the most intelligent and influental men of all time in his silly stage. Smart people can be funny, too.
