The first Jodi Picoult book i ever read.. still my favorite. Yet another book that I thoroughly enjoyed from one of favourite author, Jodi Piccoult. How far would a parent go, to protect his/her child?
The basis for the Lifetime movie! Beatrice "Trixie" Stone (Brittany Robertson, "Avalon High") accuses boyfriend Jason of date rape; he insists it's consensual. The story soon gets controversial and complicated. Trixie's mom (Kelly Preston) just happens to teach about Dante and his nine circles; her dad (Ron Eldard) is a comic book artist (Picoult wrote "Wonder Woman" some time in her career).
The Tenth Circle, throughout the book is comic book pictures that relate to the story. Look closely for letters hidden in the comic pictures that spell out a message at the end. Megan's pick at the library!
This the first Jodi Picoult book that I read and I couldn't put any of her books down since!!
love her books looks like I need to add a new one to my reading list.
the tenth circle FAVORITE. BOOK. EVER.
All of her books are worth reading!
Another heart-wrenching book by Jodi Piccoult. How delighted I was to discover that I had an unread book by one of my favorite authors. This one deals with the Amish community and what happens when their faith is juxtaposed with the American legal system. It makes you think about what forgiveness really means.
One of my favorites by Jodi Picoult.

I think this was the first Jodi Picoult book I ever read. She has become one of my favorite authors.
Amish! This is my favorite of Jodi Picoult's books, and one of my favorite books in general. Well researched in portraying the Amish characters, and a fantastic "didn't see that coming" ending. Highly recommend this one!
My first and favorite Jodi Picoult book! Whenever I have 'book discussions' with people and tell them this. She is the best writer today. When I picked up her first book, "Plain Truth" I thought she was an amish writer because her story placed me in that situation. I have read every book since then and each one still gives me that feeling and makes me questions the information that I use to make decisions about life.
One of my favorite books by my all-time favorite author

Probably my favorite Jodi Picoult book, which says a lot because I have yet to meet one I don't like.
A great read about how we come to make decisions, Nineteen Minutes centers around the story of a high school shooting, and is told, in classic Jodi Picoult style, from 5 different viewpoints using flashbacks and opinions about the present day
Nineteen Minutes Jodi Picoult's best novel and most riveting book yet, with a startling and poignant story about the devastating aftermath of a school shooting told through the eyes of many characters:students, mothers, police, the shooter...
I love this book! The intricate relationships and story behind a Columbine type high school shooting.
19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult Its a tragically heart-wrenching story about a boy who is bullied his whole life and brings a gun to high school one day. You never expect to feel sympathy for someone who wants to kill someone else...
Nineteen Minutes - Jodi Picoult: Sterling is an ordinary New Hampshire town where nothing ever happens--until the day its complacency is shattered by a school shooting. Josie Cormier, the daughter of the judge sitting on the case, should be the state's best witness, but she can't remember what happened before her very own eyes--or can she? As the trial progresses, fault lines between the high school and the adult community begin to show--destroying the closest of friendships and families. Books

I often feel as if I have grown out of Jodi Picoult books. Whenever I think of her, I think of your typical romance novels full of cliches and unrealistic expectations. House Rules is the opposite of that. About a boy with aspergers who will go to all ends of the earth to follow the "rules" layed out by his mother.
House Rules by Jodi Picoult. A teenager with Asperger's Sydrome becomes the focus of a murder investigation. #book #review #Picoult
House Rules, by Jodi Picoult - Jacob is a teenage boy with Asperger's syndrome. Novel looks at what it means to be different in our society, how autism affects a family, and how our legal system works well for people who communicate a certain way - and fails those who don't. Recommend!
House Rules......a sensitive and moving insight into the lives of one family affected by Asperger's Syndrome.
House Rules by Jodi Picoult. Really good book. Interesting look into what it is like to live with Aspergers.
House Rules- Wonderful book that give an intimate portrait of a family who has a child with Asperger's Syndrome in it.
When your son can’t look you in the eyem, does that mean he’s guilt y?.. House Rules by Jodi Picoult. Buy this eBook on #Kobo: http://www.kobobooks.com/ebook/Hous e-Rules/book- one of my favorite books
On my "To Read" list. Looks like another classic Picoult, which I have dubbed the "Gloom & Doom" Series---ALL involve tragedy. "When your son can’t look you in the eye . . . does that mean he’s guilty? Jacob Hunt is a teen with Asperger’s syndrome. He’s hopeless at reading social cues or expressing himself well ways. But he has a special focus on one subject—forensic analysis. A police scanner in his room clues him in to crime scenes..."

Recommended by Chris. The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls When I asked for reading suggestions at the end of my last book club chat, many of you said The Glass Castle. It’s the memoir of a girl growing up in a very eclectic and cash-strapped family.
"I just finished reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, it was on my son’s summer reading list and once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. It’s one of those books that changes you. He finally got it back from me and is reading it now." - Fiona Lennon, bookings editor
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls It’s the memoir of a girl growing up in a very eclectic and cash-strapped family. Such an amazing book!
My official To Be Read list has well over a hundred titles at any given time (Goodreads is both a blessing and a curse). I've had "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls on the list for over five years, and I never hear anything but praise. I think I'm slightly afraid that it won't live up to everyone's enthusiasm. - Sarah
I am not a fan of memoirs, biographies and most non-fiction. Jeannette's Walls books though, are the exception. Last year, I read her second book Half Broke Horses, a true-life novel about her grandmother. I honestly wasn't too excited to read it, and only picked it up because it was one of my book club picks. I spent an entire day in bed reading it because I couldn't put it down. So I was pretty excited to pick up The Glass Castle when I saw it at the library.
This is on my "to read" list... The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls - amazing book!

The Help by Kathryn Stockett was our favorite book from 2009 – What's your favorite book from the past ten years? #ThriftBooksTop10
Book club title for June 28th. Kathryn Stockett's novel adopts the complicated theme of blacks and whites living in a segregated South. In Stockett's narrative, Skeeter, a young white woman, is a naive, aspiring writer who wants to create a series of interviews with local black maids. Even if they're published anonymously, the risk is great. Tension pervades the novel as its events are told by these three memorable women.

As the finale to Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest is not content to merely match the adrenaline-charged pace that made international bestsellers out of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire. Instead, it roars with an explosive storyline that blows the doors off the series and announces that the very best has been saved for last.
A familiar evil lies in wait for Lisbeth Salander, but this time, she must do more than confront the miscreants of her past; she must destroy them. Much to her chagrin, survival requires her to place a great deal of faith in journalist Mikael Blomkvist and trust his judgment when the stakes are highest.
