This evening dress made between 1908-1910 was worn by Maud Messel. It is made of silver gilt lame, covered with light green silk chiffon, embroidered with rosettes in pearls and glass. The dress has a long skirt with a train. The dress is worn with a green silk chiffon overdress, green silk chiffon scarves and silver braid. The design is aesthetic and medieval inspired. Its dramatic style indicates that it might have been worn as fancy dress. Back view
