36 rare photographs of history

36 rare photographs of history. Some of the most haunting, impossible to look away, unable to avoid tearing up, pictures I have ever seen.

As incrediblily shocking as the European Black Genocide was, it's pales in comparison to the Genocide in the Americas, where an estimated 90 million Blacks and Amerindians (mostly Blacks - they were the original settlers in the Americas too), perished between 1492 and 1650.

Native Americans, in the way of industrialization, as are all people, animals, and trees

Women of the KKK, 1923. Disturbing part of history. I didn't even learn about this horrid era of American History. What a lowly time for American Caucasian Women!!! As a white U.S. born female, I feel shame (the same kind of shame for any violence, especially that of white settlers' in their invasion of native lands. I have NO SHAME FOR MY WHITE SKIN but I do feel shame for the senseless acts of my white ancestors and the barbaric heritage they left behind.
