How to Store Pasta So It Lasts for Decades
The main enemies of dry pasta are moisture, heat, light, oxygen, and insects. Without these, it should last for many years.
Gluten-free Pig Newtons (copycat version of Jim Patty's) 2 c Gluten Free Pantry Flour mix (box) 1 tbsp BP, 1 tsp BS, s, garlic, onion powder. 1/2 cup chopped chives, 1 c grated sharp Cheddar, 1/3 c cold butter cubed, 1 c buttermilk (milk+cidervinegar+yogurt), 24 sausage links, egg. @400 for 18 min Cut in butter (coarse meal), add buttermilk, pour dough on floured board, fold and pat about .5" thick. Cut rectangles, lay a sausage or 2 on each biscuit. Fold over. Egg wash.
