I Believe I can Fly ( flight of the frenchies). If I had no fear, I might want to try this. If my son saw it, he probably would try it (which is why I'm not sharing it with him).
I Believe I Can Fly (Flight of the Frenchies) is an amazing journey into the unknown. Two friends test the boundaries of free flight and friendship as they take their passion in a totally new direction. Join Tancrède and Julien on an incredible exploration into the world of free flight. The two friends are pioneers in ‘highlining’ - a vertiginous combination of climbing, slackline and tightrope walking. Using their skills and experience as climbers, the pair push their boundaries beyond the realms of possibility as they embark on a new evolution of their sport. We travel from the Verdon gorge to the skyscrapers of Paris, and finally to the spectacular cliffs and fjords of Norway - where the pair plan to put weeks spent training to the ultimate test. Could months of planning and training really lead them to their dream of complete freedom... the freedom of flight? The talented friends featured in my film have been instrumental in the innovation and development of highlining and baselining, and this exciting project was born from their passion and love for what they do. It was filmed amongst a group of friends, with no funding or sponsorship for the training, filming & production involved.
People doing intense and crazy flying!

‘Balance’ is a short film by photographer and director Tobias Hutzler, inspired by Rigolo Swiss Nouveau Cirque artist Maedir Eugster, who is performing his unbelievable balancing act. In deep concentration the artist carefully assembles 16 bare ribs of palm leaves and a feather by balancing each piece in front of the other. This enormous growing sculpture is balancing only on this one feather.

I can’t even say what exactly it is I do champion. That’s why my conviction has always been along the lines of personal awakening. When we get there we’ll understand. Right now, people are generally fighting in the dark. And it makes no sense to make unconscious decisions without the full light of truth. --Zen Gardner, Guest Waking Times http://www.wakingtimes.com/2013/11/29/thinking-outside-hourglass/

Dean Potter is an American free climber, alpinist, BASE jumper and slackliner who grew up in New Hampshire. Slacklining is a practice in balance that typically uses nylon webbing tensioned between two anchor points. Slacklining is distinct from tightrope walking in that the line is not held rigidly taut. Highlining is slacklining at elevation above the ground or water. Many slackliners consider highlining to be the pinnacle of the sport.

Dean Potter the slackline walker - who is also a rock climber - has carried out death-defying stunts at Yosemite National Park. From clinging to the edge of cliffs with no safety rope to delicately perching on an inch-thick highline 2,600ft above Yosemite falls, Potter pushed himself to the limit to conquer incredible heights last year.

This photograph was staged where Van Gogh ate, stayed and spent the last 70 days of his life. The chair symbolized the famous artist, also unbalanced, alone and perhaps misunderstood. The starry images he used (as in the mirror) represented eternity in his paintings. A reflection and modern interpretation of one of the greatest artists of all times.....

Bertrand does a variation on this trick, with a salt cellar
*I used to do this at restaurants with the salt shakers... pour a small pile of salt on the table, then use that to balance the shaker on its edge. The shape of the salt crystals helps create enough of a structure to create a balancing act.
the cup reached its equilibrium which allows it to stand up this way and it also takes into account of where the center of mass is located.
