Architect Mario Botta

Mario Botta (born April 1, 1943) is a Swiss architect. He studied at the Liceo Artistico in Milan and the IUAV in Venice. His ideas were influenced by Le Corbusier, Carlo Scarpa, Louis Kahn. He opened his own practice in 1970 in Lugano.

Tschuggen Bergoase Spa / Mario Botta This spa, carved into a mountain, is built above sea level. It is truly a "place to escape" in Arosa, Switzerland. The architecture is magnficent. I am in awe of Mario Botta.

When I look at this chair, I thought of letting the base be adjustable. This means that the seat place would be wider or narrower.
