Indigo Rose Tomatoes - a relatively new breed with the same pigments and antioxidants as blueberries. Too bad I don't have an outdoor space for a garden.

ap: Easy composting. Great microbial activity, promotes earthworms. This really works! Best way we've found to compost in our dry climate... and no turning :)

Regrow roses!!! "My neighbor has a row of roses, which he took as cuttings. I asked how he took them. He simply plunges the cuttings into the ground. But his secret of success is the humble potato! Before planting cuttings, he pushes the bottom end into a small potato, which he believes keeps the cuttings moist as they develop roots. It sounds crazy, but his row of allotment roses is proof it works." (quote from link)

DIY weed killer -- cheaper and enviro-friendlier than commercial options: Per 1 gallon of white vinegar: 1/2 c salt + a good squeeze of liquid dish soap (any brand, though I'm partial to Dawn -- if it's good enough for oil spills, it's good enough for me!) -- shake in large spray bottle, and that's it. For best results, apply to weeds on hot days.

As you plant, put Epsom salts and sugar into each hole. Plants will grow larger, leafier and greener. 4(epsom salts) to 1(sugar) ratio. Can't remember if I pinned this before of not...

Get rid of tree stumps by drilling holes in the stump and filling them with 100% Epsom salt. Follow with water, and wait. Live stumps may take as long as a month to day, and start to decompose all by themselves.

Irish Spring and a cheese grater. Apparently squirrels hate the smell of the soap, so they'll stay out of your garden. as well as deer and mice.

Spring is coming and this is the BEST Weed Spray. I made 3 gallons for around $4.00 last year after seeing a pin. Worked better than Round Up & killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle. (you can purchase 3 gallon size Apple Cider Vinegar in the canning section of a good hardware store - cheap!)
