I can board. Would 100% use this in my classrooms so students know what they are doing for the day and also helps administrators and parents see what the objectives are for the day. Much better than having plain objectives written across the board.
I LOVE this!! She has the #firstday hashtag up for, obviously, the first of the school year. She's going to take a picture of each student and put their it on the board. Then she'll change the hashtag and pictures throughout they year. SO cute!!
What a smart way to use your first day of school! Have each kiddo make something with Playdough while you are taking care of the housekeeping (supplies, attendance, mini-conferences, etc.) Then have students write about what they made. Your kids are focused, and you end up with a beginning of the year writing sample!
Teaching Today: This is such a simple idea I found online, but it is helping me keep my paperwork organized! I’m constantly making lists of what to do, and this helps me collect my thoughts in one place. I may create another one for things to do at home because it is SO HELPFUL.
Accountable talk strategy - each table group gets a ball of yarn; one student recalls a fact from the text (can tweak for whatever strategy their working on) and then rolls the yarn to another student who can recall a fact; continue rolling the yarn to make a web of knowledge
