I came across this adorable Spring Bouquet craft idea on the American Crafts blog recently and thought it would be such a cute homemade gift idea for Mother’s Day – or an adorable addition to girlie birthday parties, baby showers, or bridal showers! Get the full tutorial here.
Make a birdseed wreath, I especially love this idea for the kids to help make for Grandmothers. We have had a ton of feedback on this project, and a lot have made the wreaths little with mini bundt cake pans, or even use old butter tubs, with empty toilet paper rolls in the center.
Turn an old pocket watch into an Accordion Style Photo Album. I love love this project. I had promised my mom one of these, and still have the shell to do it. I actually found an old Avon make-up compact I am going to use, it has a mirror in the top – perfect for her key chain! So it is not just limited to a pocket watch shell.
Salt Pouches For The Shower Or Bath. I gave these to my mom for Mother’s Day three years ago and she loved them. In the morning she could take one in the shower – they would wake her up, slough away dead skin, and add a little luxury to the shower that is normally reserved for the bath.
For this beach memory jar, start by filling the jar about 1/3 of the way with sand. Tip the jar to create an angled landscape to easily see all the elements inside the jar. Print several photos, either 3 x 5, wallet size and/or contact sized and insert them into the sand. Add shells, any other collectibles, and then wrap twine around the top of the jar. Once everything inside is set, add the lid 1and the memory jar is complete. -Ultimate Women's Expo
