Level It Books. App that tells you the DRA, gre, lexlile, and guided reading level just by scanning it!

Visual schedule with pull down flaps + magnets. When item is completed, close the flap, and the word "done" is on the outside. Now this is awesome for the kid who needs to be more interactive with his schedule!

at the beginning of every month, everyone starts off in the homework club. If they turn all their homework in on time, then they get to stay in the club! If they don't then they are out of the club. Students who turn all their homework in for the entire month get to come to our monthly homework club lunch.

Clothespins with pushpins attached to the back. No more holes in the pictures on my bulletin board!

Give these out at our first parent-teacher conference of the school year. Poem reads: "An apple for the teacher is really nothing new, except when you remember parents are teachers too." Parents just love them! - Back to School Night?

Classroom Freebies: Owl Treat Bags

Cut a file folder into strips.  The shorter the attention span, the smaller you will cut the strips.  I cut this one into 3 parts.  Students open 1 flap at a time and always begin at the top and work their way down.  Students complete the work that they can see when a flap is open.

Class picture idea....maybe a magnet for open house??? or for our hopes and dreams

"Challenge capsules" for students who finish early-- keep those high achievers moving. I love the choice/surprise element here. It makes it a privilege, not a punishment. If we make sure the activities aren't just more of the same, this is great idea!
