s year, I decided to do something different.  I transformed my stressed through creativity. I started baking. Cookies, breads, cakes became a way for me to combat my stress, work through it, and then move on.

A broad spectrum of literature supports the positive psychological benefits that are experienced from participating in sports and engaging in exercise. This often includes improved mood, self-esteem, body-image, increased energy, all round self-satisfaction and, most applicable here, the ability to cope with stress.

"When Words Don't Speak"- This piece was done by Dr. Chotem, a psychologists and board member at the BC Psychological Association.  The practitioner side of psychology is like any art form.  We learn the craft, then suspend the rules to find our own unique style.  Psychotherapy can very much be a creative process, and books have been written on the art of psychotherapy.

"Sorry I’m Not Sorry – Refusing to Apologize for Feelings"   "You may be living someone else’s idea of the perfect life, but at the end of the day, it’s not their life. It’s yours, and you know it better than anyone else. So you don’t have to apologize for being stressed out, or sad, or for suddenly bursting into tears in a public place. Or for the myriad of other ways you might let your feelings show. You’re not trying to hurt anybody. You can’t help feeling the way you feel.
