Leo Tolstoy Ebook of Anna Karenina in English. According to Wikipedia: "Widely regarded as a pinnacle in realist fiction, Tolstoy considered Anna Karenina his first true novel, when he came to consider War and Peace to be more than a novel. Fyodor Dostoevsky declared it to be "flawless as a work of art". His opinion was shared by Vladimir Nabokov, who especially admired "the flawless magic of Tolstoy's style", and by William Faulkner, who described the novel as "the best ever written".

One of my favorite books! Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster is a 1997 bestselling non-fiction book written by Jon Krakauer. It details the author's presence at Mount Everest during the 1996 Mount Everest disaster when eight climbers were killed and several others were stranded by a 'rogue storm'.
Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster .......... If you want to sit on the edge of your seat, feel frozen from head to toe, and pull for the underdogs . . . then this is a book worth reading. Krakauer is a beautiful writer . . . and a great storyteller.
Into Thin Air - Jon Krakauer on my reading list for the summer.

The Complete Stories: Flannery OConnor: Amazon.com: Books
The Complete Stories, Flannery O’Connor O’Connor is synonymous with Southern fiction, and that’s because of her short stories, famously marked by deeply flawed characters, the terrible things they do, and the feeling that, one way or another, we’re all going to have to answer to somebody or something when the book is finally closed.
Flannery O’Connor was an American writer and essayist. An important voice in American literature, O'Connor wrote two novels and 32 short stories, as well as a number of reviews and commentaries. She was a Southern writer who often wrote in a Southern Gothic style and relied heavily on regional settings and grotesque characters. O'Connor's writing also reflected her own Roman Catholic faith, and frequently examined questions of morality and ethics.

At its best our age is an age of searchers and discoverers, and at its worst, an age that has domesticated despair and learned to live with it happily. —Flannery O’Connor

Why Christians Need Flannery O'Connor | "[I] was a bit shocked to find that this piece was written by a leader associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. Why would the president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission be praising an odd, peacock-obsessed Catholic writer? There was only one way to find out."
