Tree Landscapes  10/10/20120 Comments     As the 4th Grade learns about Landscapes, we are creating our own type of landscape in Art.  We have been studying the artist Vincent van Gogh and his famous Starry Night painting.  While watching his painting come to life, we are incorporating van Gogh's style into our backgrounds, and talking about the fall colors we see outside.

Big ideas like identity, story-telling, time, and spirituality are explored across a variety of art movements and time periods. Students utilize a visual journal to question, reflect, and expand their own ideas about these themes. All grade levels are exposed to a variety of visual media and attend classes in mixed levels according to media in the following course offerings: drawing & painting, ceramics, photography, mixed media, and art history (8th grade International Trip students).
