I hadn't realized this before but Pure Oil stations have a distinct form, much like Texaco stations I am familiar with.   Thanks to Ken and Mamie Hoffer, the former Pure Oil filing station on the corner of Water and Main streets will be saved from the wrecking ball. The building will be restored and turned into a retail operation, according to Mamie Hoffer, who owns Paradise Treasures on Halstead Boulevard.

This type of barn is so rare in the United States that The National Trust for Historic Preservation is protecting most of them.
