Thanks Lisa :) It was a fun (and easy-ish) design to try!

In my continued efforts to be creative with my love notes in the kids' lunches, I thought this might be a fun surprise (and a good way to use leftover fortune cookies).....I cut the border from some notepads I have, and wrote something that corresponds with the word on the back.....folded them up and tucked them into the cookies. :) (gasp!...I just noticed I missed the second 'o' on "too" in one of them!)

Webbville is my happy place! (my husband's craftiness!)

I was originally Pinspired to do a pallet table like this and add a rain gutter down the middle to serve as a drink well/flower box (when not being used for drink well)...but my husband thought boarded sections from a fence we took down instead. And he was clever enough to think that a bucket would be easier to fill/drain than the gutter idea, so he cut out the center for a bucket (1 bucket for flowers, which we will take out to use the other bucket for ice/drinks when needed!). i~Love~THIS!

Would put a washtub in the middle for ice and drinks.

He had actually thought to do that, but then realized (before he cut the opening, thank goodness!) how awkward it would be for me to try and lift it in and out (I have arthritis, and it is hard for me to bend/lift much).

I saw a post with a 2" pot filled with hummus and raw carrots...I happened to be making twice baked potatoes and cooked carrots with our Easter dinner, so I cut the potato peels up and added them into the mashed part and baked the mixture in the pots. Then I 'planted' the cooked carrots in the potatoes when they were done baking and topped them with bits of fresh parsley :)

I love to get the conversations rolling around the table when I host a dinner, by tucking a random question under each plate and having everyone take turns reading their question, answering it, and then hearing what everyone else's answer would be as well...then passing to the next guest/question, and so on. For Easter I hollowed out eggs, put the question inside and decorated them with ribbon. We had fun cracking the eggs to reveal the question, and they looked so nice on the table :)

A white plate can be transformed to go with any occasion using Dry-Erase markers! This was a last minute thought, so my artwork was a bit messy...but you get the idea ;) I was going to paint them or put Easter stickers on, but I ran out of time...I ended up liking this even better!

I made mini cupcakes, iced them, and topped them with the white chocolate flowers and leaves that I made using my candy molds. I used ribbon to trail down the platter to create the stems and tied them together with a pink ribbon to look like a bouquet :)

Fun for all occasions...I created a scavenger hunt which led to this basket. The crepe paper/streamer Easter egg had a golden egg in the center, which had the 'big $ prize'. I wrapped the paper in layers, placing various things throughout. After one of the kids exposed an item, they kept it and passed it to the next child, and continued this until they reached the center. I used stickers, money, paper with a prize # (then they got the prize bag that matched), and instructions to do silly things.

After baking the carrot cake cupcakes with a plan to ice them and put a carrot that I made using tinted white chocolate on top, I decided to top the icing with crumbled chocolate Teddy Grahams, place the cupcakes into 2" pots, and "plant" the chocolate carrot in the cupcake :)

Hollow eggs made with blue-tinted white chocolate...the "egg white" is homemade cheesecake and the "yolk" is a little circle of mango (that flavor combo was great!). I should have worked on removing the seam from when I made the egg, but I was running short on time :-\

I like to put love notes and inspirations in my kids' lunches, so I thought I would create a fun way for them to get their message and to help remind them what the best eating order would be (fruit, meat/grains, dairy, starch, sugar). If they get full before lunch is finished, they have the healthier items and skip the others!
