Rainforest | Illustration by Nick Rendall
This illustration is in memory of an amazing artist, Harry Holcroft, who was a great inspiration to me and one of the reasons I became an artist. He believed in my work especially the more naturalistic ones. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
Obsession | Illustration by Nick Rendall
Quite often I find myself obsessed with my work - they can have a hypnotic and magnetic feel, this one in particular gives a strong sense of being drawn into the illustration.
Tree | Illustration by Nick Rendall
The greatest beauties in this world are found in nature and it is a true pleasure to relay this beauty in my own style and design. Trees are one of my favourite objects to draw as they come in so many shapes and sizes but always so ironically recognisable
Medusas Gaze | Illustration by Nick Rendall
I have always enjoyed old myths and legends, it was a complete pleasure working on this Illustration and although the background pattern of lines was one of the most tedious things I have ever done, I am very glad that I did it. This will be the first of many Illustrations inspired by old tales.
The Lost Valley | Illustration by Nick Rendall
My Landscape Illustrations are the most captivating to work on, this piece was a fantastic challenge that really pushed me to learn more about working in three dimensions. I am working with a colleague of mine to create a unique frame that will intensify the already three dimensional nature of the piece.
The Forgotten Realm by Nick Rendall
'The Forgotten Realm' Triptych consists of three separate images and each panel can be purchased separately. The Forgotten Realm is actually a map to a mythological world that I have designed, my next book project will be a series of fairy tales that take place on it
Genesis | Illustration by Nick Rendall
Genesis - This was The first Illustration that I did upon my return from the first trip working in Harnas Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia. Having witnessed so much beauty I had to relay some of it in my own way. Genesis was also the first illustration I had done that was larger than A4 (11.7x8.3in).
Wings | Illustration by Nick Rendall
Wings - 'Idly the Earth watches as it's broken heart tries to fly but is entangled.' Wings is an illustrated representation of the self-destructive nature of man and the degradation of our planet.
