The above photo shows a typical pharmacy soda fountain, about 1900. Notice the ornate Tiffany-style lighting fixture centered on the marble countertop and the stained glass decorating the sides of the mirror-backed rear cabinet. The customers enjoyed sipping their fizzy sodas while seated comfortably on the round wooden stools.
