The kids were given hexagon (to resemble a beehive comb) cardstock shapes and they traced this shap all throughout their pictures and then they pained each hextagon shape in a different watercolor paint. Then inked and printed a pre-assembled cardboard bee on top.

    Ooh I did a lesson like this, if you have the kids measure the "horizon" line you can line them all up when you display them!

End of jan. each student works on multimedia heart project. One heart. Have lots of materials to experiment with. Class 1 we create interesting ground with acrylic paints and collaged/glued tissue. Class 2 we embellish with pastels, papers, etc.
