Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone mysteries are really good! She does the alphabet books V is for Vengence just came out. (Kinsey is a female private investigator)

The first in a series of coming of age zombie books. About a teenage boy learning to live in this new world with zombies as a part of the equation. Designed for teens and young adults, but anyone who is a fan of the genre can find something to love in this series. My son can't wait for the 4th and final installment coming out later this year hopefully.
