Leaf People: Make this craft after an outdoor scavenger hunt or a class "hike." I will do this with my first graders during our camp week at the end of the year. After they collect their nature items during the hike, we will return to the classroom where the kids will creature their "leaf person/animal/creature" and then they can write about their "leaf friend".
Leaf Man-Students go on a leaf hunt after reading Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert and then make their very own leaf man. Projects helps with fine motor control, problem solving, color identification, body part awareness, and following directions.
Here's a Fall project that's just as fun for kids as it is for adults — and it's a Pinterest favorite! These easy shaving cream painted leaves from Little Wonders' Days will have you swirling paint right next to your tot to create Autumn leaves. String the finished creations to create a decorative garland, or hang them from a stick for a lovely, leaf-filled mobile. Source: Little Wonders' Days
