Wood Butter - A Recipe for Your Utensils
Wood Butter Recipe - to condition cutting boards, wood bowls, etc. -- Just tried this and it works great. I cut the recipe WAY down as I didn't want 48 jars on my hands. I used approx. 1 ounce of beeswax and 4 ounces mineral oil.
dishwasher soap - Baking Soda (frugal favorite!) Borax (all-natural household cleaner, available at many stores in the laundry aisle) Mix together equal parts of each ingredient, store in a labeled container Use just like a commercial powdered detergent, approximately 2 TBS per load. That’s it! Each load will cost you mere pennies. (also use vinegar in the jetdry well instead of the expensive stuff)
Cleaning solutions you can make at home that work just as well as the expensive stuff if not BETTER! Dish Washer Soap: 1 cup of Borax 1 cup of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda 2 packets of no sugar added Koolaid Lemon Aide Mix together well and add 1 tablespoon to each load! (If you are making your laundry soap you already own everything except for the koolaid) Cost to make this is 78 cents a batch and does 32 loads of dishes!
